There's no denying that Georgia is connected to George, and I don't particularly have a problem with that. :-) I like the look of Georgia and that way to me is just, well, normal. I'm very used to that spelling going with that sound. Jorja as a variant doesn't irritate me or anything, though.
It's like Jayne vs. Jane or Eleanor vs. any other variant that sounds the same. I definitely have my own preference but I'm neutral on what other people decide to go for in those cases.
