Esther, Estelle, or Stella?
Which would be best as a middle name - Esther or one of these approximations?

All three are lovely. Stella is my personal favourite out of the three, but I think Estelle would make the best mn.

I like Stella the best of these three, though as a MN, Esther would also work nicely. Estelle seems very dated to me and is dnmsaa.

Estella ;)

I like Estelle the best for a middle name and Stella for a first name.

I like all 3 but I like Esther best. Not sure how well it flows as a mn, though. Most -er names are difficult to use as mn's for some reason. :b Estella is actually my favorite above all of them, had it been an option.

I like Estelle. I don't like Stella or Esther, and I'd only use Estelle as a first name.

Stella as a fn, but Estelle as a mn.

I think it depends on the first name. One might sound better with one first name and another with another first name. My favorite of the three is Stella, but I think all are lovely and could make great middle names.

I LOVE Esther, neither of the other options appeal to me...too florid.

It depends what first name to go with, but I would say Estelle, mostly.

I like Stella the best, then Estelle, then Esther.
Estella is a cute combo of Stella/Estelle!

Esther's much prettier than the rest, in my opinion. I'd go with that.

I like Stella best.

I think all three are wonderful in their own ways. If you're looking for one to honour an Esther, though, I'd stick with the original. It's lovely and strong, with a great Biblical namesake to back it up.Array
