wdyt of Christabelle?
this freshmen girl in my pe is named that. i dont really like it, i think they were trying to combine Christa and Belle. First of all, i prefer Christa spelled Krista (probly because thats my cousins name) and the name Belle just sounds too country-ish or beauty and the beast like. what do you guys think?

I personally don't like it. It sounds made up. My friend has a sister named Kristellen, and I think it sounds very made up too. I just don't like 'em. Sorry.

I normally like -belle/-bella names, but not this one. Maybe it's just the "t-a after the b" sound.

I think it's pretty ^.^

I love Christabel, this spelling only, as in Coleridge's poem. The spelling Christabelle is just too much, IMO.

I like Christabelle a lot! It's my favourite spelling, too. Christabella is nice as well ... For either, I love the nickname Christi.

Does she actually get called that, all three syllables?I like Christabel and I agree with Chrisell that the -lle is too too much. But I'd hope that a young Christabel would be called Christa or something, by her peers.. Christabel is a fanciful old mouthful for contemporary everyday affairs, to the point that it gets in its own way. - chazda

I positively adore the name Christabel- it's one of my very favourites. :)Christabelle is too cutsey for me, though.Shannon

I rather like Christabel but the 'lle' ending is too much for me.I'd never use it because it's too close to my own name, anyway.
