Rebecca
Once again, a name that I didn't like in the past suddenly struck my fancy for some reason. WDYT of Rebecca? Do you think it is still a classic? I think it sounds fantastic with our last name and with my mother's middle name, Jane.Rebecca Jane

I prefer Rebekah, but Rebecca is fine too.

I have 10 month old with that name so obviously I love it. Actually her father chose it and I was leaning more toward Sylvia or especially Susannah, but since I named her older sister Julianna, the latter would have rhymed too much (or so he said). Still, it's a lovely, classic, feminine-but-not-too-frilly name that will never go out of style, and I definitely prefer the double "C" spelling -it spares her a lifetime of clarifying and correcting. Our daughter's name is
Rebecca Violet.

Love Rebecca. I would think of using it myself one day, but I have a cousin with Rebecca as her mn. It's definitely a classic and beautiful name. Rebecca Jane is lovely.

I like this name beacuse it is Biblical.

I like Rebecca, it's pretty. I prefer Rebekah though. Rebecca Jane is OK, but rather plain.

I love Rebecca, spelled this way, but I think "plain Jane".

I like Rebecca. It was always one of my favourite names when I first became interested in names and I still like it. I think Rebecca is still a classic and Rebecca Jane is a lovely combo, imo.

I like the Rebekah spelling better.

I LOVE it!
Rebecca has been on my list for forever! (just didn't have another girl!)I agree w/ you that although Rebekah is a legitimate spelling, Rebecca looks more feminine and distinguished.
Rebecca Jane is a beautiful classic name.
I wouldn't worry about nicknames either. I know two Rebecca's who have NO nickname... I also know a Katherine who people SWORE up and down would eventually become Katie. Nope, she's 32 now and still just Katherine.
You won't have any regrets if you use Rebecca.Good luck!

It's a classic, but it's been very much overused over the years though that's slacked off some as of late. I like it without a nn, though Becky or Becca--both of which I don't like--seem somewhat inevitable. But Rebecca Jane is definitely a pretty, classic combo.

I think of it as very 70s and 80s trendy. In my mind I know that it's classic, but my first thought is usually of all the Becky's or Becki's that I know. It sounds ok paired with Jane, but in my opinion it's a very uninspiring combination.

Rebecca Jane sounds beautiful and classic. Has a plain touch, nothing to extravagant. I like it! But I would preffer Rebekah Jayne. I like the biblical spelling Rebekah better, and for some reason Jayne with the Y always seems fancy and appealing to me. But I like the sound of this name either way!

Rebekah Jayne...ruins it for me. Rebekah is definitely a legitimate spelling, but not one I care for. And pairing it with a kre8tyv spelling of Jane doesn't boost that for me, either.

I've never really thought of Jayne as a creative spelling, ever since I heard of this old time actress with that name from the 1930's, I believe. She made it seem classy for me. I like Rebekah because it is the spelling in the bible. It looks lovely.

Jayne Mansfield was actually born Vera Jane... but she changed the spelling for Hollywood, and eventually dropped Vera.

She was known as Jayne though, and she made me love the variant.

I like this spelling rather than Jane, but I perfer the pronounicaiton "Janie" rather than Jane though.

You might prefer that pronunciation, but it's still an incorrect pronunciation.

I don't personally like Rebecca but Rebecca Jane sounds cute.
