WDYT of Simone?
What are your opinions on the name Simone for a baby girl? Any good middle name ideas?

Hmm..
It's not my style at all. I wouldn't use it, but I'm not appalled by it at all either.
And truthfully, I think of a character from Scooby Doo. (Just watched the movie with Morgan Moonscar with my niece..) And I can't seem to shake the reference. It does seem like it's a relatively, "strong" name, something that might age well, but it's still not my style.
Edit - Subject line and rephrasing.

I dislike the 'MOAN' sound, prefer Simona
Simone is my real name. It gets mispronounced all the time especially in South Africa where there are various pronunciations of the name (See-mon, Sa-mon, Sa-moan, See-mon-nay). I'm not crazy about my name but I don't mind Nina Simone & Simone de Beauvoir as namesakes. I don't have a middle name so I'm interested to see what the other respondents come up with.
Only like it as a middle name
ditto
I like Simone
Very pretty
It's really grown on me these past few years and now I'm considering using it if this baby is a girl. I think it's very pretty.
It's NMS, I've never liked it.

it's a nice name, but probably sounds a bit rough-i'm more used to simona.still, about a middle name, i can't come with ideas, but u could try names that don't have in their spelling letters that simone itself has (like M,N,O and S),cause it may sound funny or weird-in a bad way.
Very pretty
