Re: Agata/Marta
in reply to a message by ADT
I can't really distinguish much between my impressions of these, and of Agatha & Martha.. except that they sound more non-English and they lack the famous-bearer associations (A. Christie and M. Stewart in particular). My impressions:Agata .. I like it okay. It's a bit sharper than Agatha, and a bit more playful looking to me .. but is a very strong sounding name. Agata sounds like a person who could handle power well, someone shrewd, athletic, and assertive (but not obnoxiously so). Bright, fair, and often inscrutable.Marta .. is also strong sounding, but in a less active & headstrong way; more of a reliable or giving type of strength, with a cool head and an easy laugh. Smooth, striking, and passionate. - chazda[edited to remove extra sig]
