I love the name Natasha, it's so pretty. If I met a Natasha I wouldn't just assume she was Russian, because I love the name and I'm not.

This is one of my favorite names, and I'm not Russian. There are plenty of people who use Irish names who aren't Irish, etc. Plus, I've heard it used on Americans before. It's not like Olga or Helga, which is very rare in these parts.Natasha is not overly popular, but I do also like it as a nickname for Natalia. I'm always on the fence as to whether I prefer it as a full name or a nick name. When I like it as a full name, I like the nicknames Nat, Natty/Nattie, and Tasha. I used to not like Tasha, but it has really grown on my lately. So, basically, I love the name, and I wouldn't assume Russian immediately.

I love the name Natasha and I know twins named Zoe and Natasha. I wouldn't automatically assume a person with this name to be Russian because all of the Natasha's I've known aren't.

I know a Natasha. She is my older brother's friend. I actually like this name. I prefer it to the regular Tasha. I wouldn't automatically assume that a 'Natasha' was Russian unless I was in Russia, lol.

I prefer Natalia or Natalie, but Natasha is pretty, and I'd much rather see Natasha than a trendy type name. The biggest problem I have with it is the inevitable NN Tasha; I dislike that a lot. I'd call a Natalia or Natalie Talie (TALL-ie).I wouldn't automatically think she's Russian. Names span cultures these days. I actually know a two year old named this; both of her parents were born and raised in my home town, but they picked it because it was a great, great, great grandma's name on the father's side.

I would call her Nat or Nattie. I can't stand Tasha. =(

No, I wouldn't. The only Natasha I've ever known IRL was actually Colombian. The name is not only Russian, and I think it works on anyone. I really like it.Array

I really like the name Natasha and can see it on a little toddler and adult. I would not think of Russian, it doesn't sound foreign to me at all probably because I know of several actresses with this name.

I haven't heard the name for a while. It seems to have gone out of fashion. I like the name, but it's not my favourite. I don't have the Russian association.
