Eliana is gorgeous. Ella would certainly work as a nickname, but I see no reason to spoil the beauty of Eliana with the trendy, overdone, cutesy Ella.

I think Eliana is very pretty. I guess Ella could be a nickname for it.

I love it! It's very elegant and pretty but also classy imo, and I would seriously consider using it one day. I'm not too keen on Ella as a nn because there are so many around at the moment. Ellie, Ana, Lia could also work.

I think a one syllable name would go best with it, though I'm not very good at those for girls. The usual suspects would be:
Eliana Joy / Faith / Grace / Rose / Hope
(it's been a long day, I think I have namer's block! lol)

I prefer Ella over Eliana but its still nice.

Check out my polls and other posts on this name. I had quite an obsession with it for a while, and knew a girl w/ this name (spelled "Eliyanna". Eww...). I still think it's very nice, and I like all the possible nicknames.

Both Eliana & Ella are lovely, but I prefer Ella personally - it is more classic.

I love Elianna, nn Ella! I would actually consider using it myself.

I adore Eliana. I think Ella could work as a nick but then again, Ella isn't really distinctive these days while Eliana is. I think I'd be tempted to keep the name intact. Re: mns, I haven't really considered any for Eliana because I know I can never use it (my name is Elena and my dd is Anna). I do think a short mn (no more than two syllables) would work well. Eliana Raquel/Rachel immediately springs to mind -- don't know why. I hope this helps.

I love Eliana, used to use it as a screen name because it sounds similar to my first name (which is NOT Ella).
