Eleri
I really love this name, as it brings to mind fairies and hidden gardens. It's very ethereal to me.However, I'm worried people couldn't pronunce it correctly. How would you pronunce it? I'd probably use Eleri Katharine. Also: Honest opinions on Miriam. I've suddenly decided it's too serious of a name.

I don't mind Eleri (I pronounce it ELL-er-ee or ELL-a-ree). It just reminds me of Cellery. Thats the only problem.

I really like Eleri! It has been on my list for a couple of years. On first glance it looks like it would be pronounced the same as Ellery, but I found out it is pronounced e-LEH-ree, which I think is more feminine and pretty! Eleri Katharine is a lovely combo.
Miriam is about due for a comeback imo. I don't find it too serious at all! I love the nicknames Miri and Mira.

I'd pronounce Eleri eh-LEH-ree. I like the name too because it makes me think of fairies etc. Eleri Katharine is nice.Miriam makes me think of a mouse. I don't know why but it does.

I hate Eleri, sorry. It seems like another spelling of Ellery to make it less surnamey.I LOVE Eleni (EH-leh-nee), though, and Eleni Katherine would be stunning.Miriam is gorgeous! It's serious, but the nicknames Miri and Mira lighten it up, and it's perfect for an adult. She'll be an adult for more time than she will be a kid, remember.

I would pronounce Eleri 'eh-LEHR-ee'. Eleri Katharine is a wonderful combo and I agree wholeheartedly with you that it sounds so ethereal.as it brings to mind fairies and hidden gardensThat's a beautiful description which makes me like the name even more. :)As for Miriam, I like it well enough. I think I like Maryam a tad bit more, though. However, it has good qualities and would make a fabulous name for a wee one.

I'd pronounce it as EL-uh-ree. It's not really my style, but it isn't terrible either. Eleri Katharine is a nice combo. I love the name Miriam. It's on my list for possible future use!

I would pronunce it El-er-ee, it's an ok name, but then again, maybe I'm pronuncing it wrong.

I'd say eh-LEER-ee (which would basically come out like "a Leary" in my accent). Perhaps just like Ellery, but I don't like that quite as well.Eleri Katharine sounds nice, either pronunciation.Miriam isn't too serious at all; I think it's rather fun, actually. Especially nicknamed Mim. :)Array

I'm sorry, but I think of sellery straight away :-/
It's not to bad though, on second thought, I really like it :-)
I pronounce it EL-ehr-ree. (just saw it's real pron., prefer it, but don't know if a lot of people would pron. it right)
Miriam is not my style, ok, but a little boring imo.

It is gorgeous! On first glance, I'd pronounce it like Ellery, but if I think about it, I'd correct it and say eh-LEH-ree. Either way, I love it! As a matter of fact, it's on my favorites list :) You have great taste.I agree with Miriam. It just is too... well, like you said, serious.Eleri Katharine is pretty good, although I think that Katherine & variants are used too much. I still like it though -- I can make exceptions. ;)

Is the name 'Margo' a good name?

Honestly I see nothing wrong with it, although I think that if you used it, the poor girl would get teased out of her mind. So... personally, yes, but socially, no. Does that make any sense? :)

Why would a girl named Margo be teased? I don't get it.Array

I adore Ellery on a boy, so I get what you're saying...It almost looks like Eleri is trying to look more feminine than Ellery, even though I know thats not the case... you know, sort of like Emmersyn vs. Emerson. Are Eleri & Ellery pronounced similarly?

I first think el-LEER-ee, which I think is very pretty, but probably not correct. And I like Miriam! It doesn't seem too serious.

I would pronounce Eleri like Ellery, eh-LAIR-ee, or EH-ler-ee. eh-LAIR-ee is pretty, but it's too close to the word "hilarious" for my liking. Eleri Katherine flows nicely. I honestly don't care for the name Katharine though. How about Eleni? As for Miriam, I think that it's very pretty. I don't think that it's too serious.

I like Eleri too. I think it looks really nice. I pron. it EL-uh-ree (which is pretty much the way any Dutch person would say it the first time they see this name), according to a comment on the name it's wrong though. Wrong pronounciations are easily mended, by correcting people once. I don't like Miriam, I agree with you that it's too serious.
