I'm not sure that we have definite evidence that "Damned Barebones" really existed. This may have been a joke made up by the political opponents of Praise-God Barbon, who really was a member of the Puritans in Parliament in England during the Cromwell period. Royalists may simply have made up the idea that he named his son If-Jesus-Christ-Had-Not-Died-For-Thee-Thou-Hadst-Been-Damned in order to make him look more ridiculous. Certainly the man usually thought to be his son always went by Nicholas during his adult life. I would be skeptical of this story unless someone shows that the "Damned" name is actually found in records that the Barbon family themselves kept.

I've been seeing Raiden (a gp of mine) and Abcde turning up in several BA's of late. I wonder if they're headed for the Top 1000 list.
I hate most of the names listed, so I'll only note the ones I like: Jazzlyn is a guilty pleasure; Florence is sweetly old-fashioned; Iris is lovely; and Moreblessing and Mable are interesting, if nothing else.
BTW, Realitee is ridiculous.

Obviously if you get two, this isn't a unique idea.
I checked the Oregon state site; it's one of the few that gives every name given in that state for a number of years. There was a girl named Abcde born in Oregon in 2000, and a girl named Abcd born there in 2003. I would love to know where these parents are hearing about this idea, and who the original creator of the name was.
