That kind of confused me, too, but I assume she meant that Peri sounded like "peri area" (perineal area, containing genitals/anus, etc.). :-/

Perineal area-"Peri Area"

I don't know if other people get the connection right away, but I did, and if even one person finds the name associated with genitalia I immediately find it unusable.
