My gm was Ida Lillian and her mother was Ida Belle. I never really cared for my gm so maybe that's why I don't really care for Ida. I don't know; it just doesn't sound pleasant to my ears.

Re: Rose and Maeve, I adore those two names. I suppose Ida could fit but I see something along the lines of Ruby or Cora complementing those two. BTW, Ruby was my mother's sister who died in infancy and Cora was the name of another ggm. ;-)

I like it - it's rather cute. I think it sounds great with Rose and Maeve.

I like Ida very much. I prefer the Scandinavian and Irish / Gaelic pronunciation of "EE-da," but American "EYE-da" is nice too.

Ida is a darling name! I can't wait until someone uses it for their little lassie. :) Ida, Rose and Maeve make a delightful group of names.
