To me Rafferty is a dog's name. There was a kid's programme several years ago on Irish television which featured an Old English Sheepdog called Rafferty. My second association is with the blind wandering poet Antoine Ó Raifteiri, which is not a bad association just rather sad.

I do like Sigourney though I wouldn't use it. In the film Spellbound one the spellers has a sister Sigourney. And I like Sigourney Weaver.
