I don't mind Rafferty in theory but I can't see it woeking on a real child. It sounds quirky and kind of dashing, but I don't know. I definitely don't like it or love it...it is just ok. I think it would be a great name for a dog actually!
My first associations would be the Australian resort complex Rafferty's and then a fluffy goofy looking dog.I really dislike Raleigh
