Re: interesting birth announcement

This isn't the reason Concha makes you think of something inappropriate, but it's why I do:
I got a book on the history of manga once when I was in eighth grade or so. It was really interesting--traced the history of Japanese comics back to art from hundreds of years ago. But being a thirteen year old girl, the chapter that I found most interesting was the chapter about sex.
They talked about the use of metaphorical language and images (things like flowers and waves crashing against the shores) in a lot of them. They showed some panels from some manga from, like, the 50s or 60s. Somewhere in there. Anyway, it was supposed to be some sort of sex contest, with a commentator, and when it came to the actual act, the commentator shouted "And the seal dives into the conch shell!" with an accompanying illustration showing just that.
So since then, I've always associated with Concha and conch shells in general with the female anatomy. :D
