I'd much prefer to see Purity or Chastity used as names than Pristine, because I think nouns make much better given names than adjectives. If you turn an adjective into a given name, it immediately sounds like the entire name is a phrase, with the first name modifying the surname, and that is much more likely to result in giggles and the name not being taken seriously. So "Purity Smith" is a much better name than "Pristine Smith", IMHO.
