- the Welsh sometimes do put the emphasis on different syllables, for some reason.-And that is reason, yes Most Welsh people speak English too but they speak it differently from me, they have lovely regional accents like many area's in the UK this is due to their heritage which is the reason they put Emphasis on different Syllables its an inherited speech pattern, an accent .
But the main point is that Most Welsh names came into being when Welsh was the most widely spoken language in Wales.
I am finding it difficult to explain exactly what I mean and hope you will be able to understand what I am trying to say.
