Oisin
How do you guys feel about the name Oisin (Pr. O-sheen)?
Please disregard how you may feel about spelling issues as we are Irish, and its a common name at home. (We out of the country for now...)

Love it!
I was looking for something that sounded slightly like Ocean and a friend from another board suggested it about 6 years ago or so and I've loved it since! I've actually seen one or two Oisin's in the birth announcements this year!

Thanks! You know today was the first time I noticed the "ocean" similarity (duh) and I love it!
Seems like a good fit for you too, as (if I remember correctly) you love surfing.

The "sheen" part sounds a little unpleasant and even feminine to my American ears, (think Sheena) but I am not the best person to ask about Irish names, so don't listen to me. :)
I love the name. I prefer the pronunciation O-sheen (is the stress on the first syllable?). I had always seen it pronounced as USH-een, which is nice, but is a little unnatural for me to say in English. But it's lovely said like you do, and it has a great meaning.
