Cordelia and Theodore
For a while now I have loved the names Cordelia and Theodore. The problem is I don't know if they would work as a set because they both have an "or" sound. Do you think they are too much together? Would the nns Delia and Theo help?
I also really like Anastasiya (after my great grandma) and Milena for girls. Do they sound better with Theodore? My husband isn't particularly taken with either, he dislikes the nn Nastasya because he thinks it looks too much like nasty and we couldn't use Ana because my name is Hannah.
Final question because this is becoming a bit wordy, can you think of any alternatives to Theodore or Cordelia I might like?
Thanks in advance.

I think Cordelia and Theodore go together like bread and butter... like peanut butter and jelly... like Fred and Ginger. :) Please don't break them up, they sound just perfect as is.

I love Cordelia and Theodore and I think they sound great as siblings. The only way the repeating "or" sound would be an issue is if you only called both by their formal names and never by nn's, but that's unlikely (btw, I love Delia, Cora, Theo, and Ted/Teddy!). I prefer Cordelia much more than Anastasiya (way too many letters!) and even Milena.
I love Cordelia and Theodore together! Very turn of the last century. I love Delia too, but am not to keen on Theo. I prefer Teddy.
Cordelia and Theodore look and sound great at a sibling set I like them both a lot
Anastasiya and Milena are both fine names but neither seem to fit Theodore

I love Theodore! I don't like Cordelia, but it's sounds fine with Theodore. Imo, Anastasiya and Milena don't really fit with Theodore very well.
Loving Theodore Elliott and Chava Louise!
I think Cordelia and Theodore are a wonderful sibset! Very handsome names. The -or- sound is accented differently in the two, so it's not an issue to me. While I don't think NNs are necessary, I think Delia and Theo are adorable!
I think Anastacia enough, but I'm not keen on Anastasiya, and with the "nasty" association you have, I would be hesitant to use it. Milena is charming, though. I would use Cordelia before Milena, but if there were two girls in the set, I'd use them both.
My brain is a little tired this week, but if I happen to think of suggestions for alternate nams, I'll edit them in.
Magnanimous Despair alone could show me so divine a thing, where feeble hope could ne'er have flown, but vainly flapped its tinsel wing.

I think Cordelia and Theodore sound gorgeous together! I don't really think that the 'or' sound is enough to make them unusable in the same sibset - in fact, to me, I think it just makes them sound more attractive as siblings. If you wanted to do nicknames, Cora is my favourite for Cordelia, and Theo is very cute. I'm not a Delia fan. But Cora and Theo sound very cute together!
Other alternatives - Delilah, Cora, Caroline, Ophelia, Pandora, Lilia?

I think Theodore & Cordelia would make a gorgeous, amazing, *perfect* sibset. They're both incredibly beautiful and sophistocated, and they have a similar feel to them which is why they match perfectly. Never mind the double "or" sound - I wouldn't have even noticed it myself if you hadn't pointed it out. I think Cordelia sound much nicer with Theodore than the other two names you suggested, too.
Thanks for the response!
I probably noticed the sound because I have been thinking about it too much. Thanks again, I'm really glad you like the set.

Neithere are my style
They're too proper sounding for me, honestly. :-) Anastasiya is lovely, but it doesn't flow with Theodore. Theodore is a proper English name, Anastasiya is more exotic. The same goes for Milena.
Our taste is fairly different, so I won't try to recommend alternatives. They're all pretty names though.

I suppose they do sound quite proper. That might be part of the appeal though (*ponders*). Thanks for your input. : )
Cordelia and Theodore are a very cute sibset. Delia and Theo are very cute nn's.
I also like Cornelia because that is the full name of a woman I quite admire-Corrie TenBoom.
I like Cordelia a lot better than your other two girl names...it is classic and nice.

I like Cornelia too, but Cordelia pips it!
