Gabrielle
WDYT of the name Gabrielle as a first name? I've loved it as a mn for a while now, but what mn's would you pair with it? Also, do you think she could get away with not being called Gabby?
TIA.
(And, of course- Lilah and Gabrielle? Lilah, Sebastian, and Gabrielle?)

Gabrielle is a pretty name. I also dislike the nickname Gabby, but I think that someone with this name can get away with not being called Gabby. You can use Brielle, Elle, or Ellie as a nickname. If she always introduces herself as Gabrielle, people will most likely just call her Gabrielle rather than Gabby.
BTW Gabrielle sounds nice with Lilah and Sebastian.

I love Gabrielle but DH just vetoed it from our list. I actually think Gabby/Gabi is cute but I definately don't think a Gabrielle has to go by a nickname.
Beautiful! Really lovely. It could definetly work as a fn. Although you can't really control the nns her freinds give her when she gets older, if you adress her as Gabrielle all the time, everyone will get the picture.
Lilah, Gabrielle, and Sebastian sounds lovable huggable :D

I've always liked Gabrielle. It's both elegant and simple. I think she could get away with not being called Gabby if you insist it.

I think Gabrielle is a lovely name! Very classic and feminine :-) I think she could get away with not being called Gabby (a NN I can't stand, btw). There's always Ellie, Elle, Brielle, & Bree, and if you call her by her full name or by one of those NNs early on, I think it has a good chance of sticking.

I think she could get away with not being called "Gabby" (a nickname I hate), if you started calling her by a different nickname("Ellie, or "Bree"), from the very beginning.

But as she has grown, her smile has widened with a touch of fear and her glance has taken on depth. Now she is aware of some of the losses you incur by being here -- the extraordinary rent you have to pay as you stay.

Yes...I know a lot of people who have names that come with the (what seems to be) predetermined nns. I know Anthony's, Nicholas', and Andrew's that do not go by Tony, Nick, Andy / Drew. I think some may think its a nn, but others usually call a child what the family does...so if you call her Gabrielle or another nn, Gabrielle will be what she is called.

She probobly can not get a way from being called gabby (I've never met a grabirelle (a) not being called gaby) but it's a nice name, her nickname can be Bri. It's kinda hard to find her a middle name. How about Gabrielle Denise, Gabrielle Liliana, Gabrielle Ariana, Gabrielle Vanessa?
