pronunciation of Sonya
I love this name.
I pronounce it Sow-nya
It can also be pronouned Saw-nya
Which way do you pronounce it upon seeing it for the first time? Just curious.

sewn-ya
Or saw-nya if that was what they preferred, but the one I know says it more with an O sound.

I've always said SAHN-ya (which is closer to SAW-nya). I could get used to SOE-nya, but that's definitely not my first reaction on how to say it when I first see it. But I live in the Southern U.S. so that might make a difference. :)
I always say SOHN-ya, and about half the time (I've met a lot of them lately for no particular reason), they correct me to SAHN-ya.

Yes, sorry confusing Sow-nya as in Soap. Good.
I assume by "sow," you mean as in "reap what you sow"? Because I see it and hear sow as in "a sow's ear."
I pronunce the name SOH-nya, like soap.

Sow-nya, but I guess SOHN-ya would be a more correct representation
