Stella?
I'm pulling together a name list for my baby#1 due next Spring, and would like to name her something not overused, but common enough so that everyone know how to spell and pronounce it. Here's my list:Brielle
Evelyn
Gabrielle or Gabriella
Jacqueline
Katherine
Rosalyn or Rosalind
Stella or EstelleAs you can see I have a liking of "elle" and "lyn" names. WDYT?

I like Evelyn, Rosalyn / Rosalind, and Stella / Estelle the best. Brielle are Gabrielle/a too 'trendy' for my tastes and Katherine is way too popular. Jacqueline is ok, but I dislike the nn Jackie. :-/ Good luck.

I don't think Stella is overdone these days. I've only heard of 1 girl with the name, locally. I like it better than Estelle too, sounds too dated. I like Stella Evelyn the best. When are you due?-Elizabeth

Future mom of Sebastian Dee or Tierra Belle

Stella Evelyn sounds nice too. I also thought of Evelyn Stella, but Stella seems to be easier to spell (can't really get it wrong). People might spell Evelyn as Eveline/Evelyne/Evelin....Just my thought.

I'm not wild about the name Stella, but it's a decent name. I really like Evelyn though. Rosalyn, Rosalind, Estelle, Brielle, and Gabrielle are also nice.Combo ideas:
Evelyn Gabrielle or Evelyn Gabriella - I personally prefer Gabrielle.
Evelyn Brielle
Evelyn StellaIf you are planning to name your daughter something that is not overused, avoid Katherine unless you use it as a middle name. In that case, it doesn't really matter.More ideas:
Arabella
Arabelle
Marielle
Mariella
Noelle - Would it be really strange to name her this since she will be a spring baby? I have mixed thoughts here, but I really like the name.
Noella
Noelia
Joelle
Laurelle / Lorelle
Emmeline

I love Stella and Katherine. What about Stella Katherine?

I like Brielle as a nnn for Gabrielle or Gabriella. I also like Jacqueline, Rosalyn and Stell or Estelle. YOu may also want to consider Celeste. That is one of my all time faves!

Congratulations! Stella Rosalyn would be a really pretty combo using names from your list.Brielle - I think some people might not know how to spell it, but either way, I dislike it. It feels trendy and unsubstantial to me.
Evelyn - Very pretty, but rising in popularity, at least here at BtN
Gabrielle or Gabriella - Never liked this name, probably never will, but I can't give you a good reason why.
Jacqueline - Nice name but slightly overused
Katherine - Love the name, but again, it's quite popular. I would reserve this and Jacqueline for the MN spot.
Rosalyn or Rosalind - Love this! I prefer the Rosalyn spelling, I think.
Stella or Estelle - Also on my list. Very feminine and pretty without being too frilly.Magnanimous Despair alone could show me so divine a thing, where feeble hope could ne'er have flown, but vainly flapped its tinsel wing.

Brielle - I think it's cute and could grow on me more, but I still prefer it as a NN for Gabrielle.Evelyn - very nice and classy, even though it's not a top fave of mineGabrielle / Gabriella - both are nice...I slightly more prefer Gabrielle, but you can't go wrong either way imo.Jacqueline - pretty and has grown on me a lot as of late, but I much prefer the sp. JaclynKatherine - lovely, classic, feminine name, but I prefer it sp. Kathryn.Rosalyn / Rosalind - both are nice, though I prefer Roselyn. They almost seem better as MNs to me.Stella / Estelle - I definitely prefer Stella...lovely and one of my faves! Estelle is very dated imo and doesn't sound as pretty as Stella. In order, my faves are: Stella, Katherine, Gabrielle, Gabriella, Jacqueline, Evelyn, Rosalyn, Rosalind, Estelle.

I vote for Stella or Gabrielle. Both are pretty. Millions saw the apple fall, but Newton was the one who asked why. -Baruch

Thanks, those are my top 2 picks. Although Gabrielle is a little popular (I was at my cousin's high school grad and heard the name Gabrielle/Gabriella called out million times). If not, I'll definitely choose Gabrielle.

Brielle -- Where's the "Ga-" part? Trendy. I'd save this as a nn for Gabrielle. Evelyn -- Lovely. Gabrielle / Gabriella -- Prefer Gabrielle. Very elegant.Jacqueline -- Very elegant. And thank you for spelling it correctly. :-)Katherine -- Beautiful, but in need of a rest unfortunately. Katies are a dime a dozen.Rosalyn / Rosalind -- Much prefer Rosalind. Lovely, refreshing. Rosalyn always looks like a lazy person's version of Rosalind. Stella / Estelle -- Both are lovely.

list:Jacqueline- Like it with prn. jack-LEEN never Jackie
Katherine- pretty. Love nn Kate
Rosalyn or Rosalind- really nice and underused
Stella or Estelle- I think I like Estella better. I think of Marlon Brando screaming "STELLA!" on A Streetcar named Desire when I hear Stella.ETA: Stella also reminds me of the word stale.
