My Irish Roommates
As a lot of you seem to be interested in names of an Irish origin, I thought you might find it interesting to look at a "represtative sample" of 18-20 year olds that I live with in the flat (yes, I have 7 flatmates).
Aoife - very common. Pronounced EE-fuh
Emma Jane - said together
Meadhbh - many different spellings, but this is the one she has. Pronounced Mave
Padraig - Pronounced PAW-rick also loads of spellings. (mn Eoin. Pronounced as Owen)
Nuala - Pronounced NOO-luh
Peter
Roisin - also very common. Pronounced ROW-sheen (row as in, row your boat)
No revelations here, I know. Just thought you might find it (and I cringe to use this word, but I've used interesting twice now) neat.

These names were interesting, it's nice to see what other countries name their children, not to mention how they spell (or would it be pronounce?) names.
