Naomi
Wdyt of the name Naomi? I have always kind of liked it. But never thought i would use it. Very recently however a school friend of mine (from about 5 years ago. hadnt seen her in that long) was murdered. Her name was Naomi, and it got me thinking about the name again. Does it have any nice variations?

Naomi sounds wild and beautifully stark, I think possibly because the sound reminds me of Wyoming. I have a vision of the red deserts of the Southwest US when I hear this name. Generate Your Own Glitter Graphics @ GlitterYourWay.com - Image hosted by ImageShack.us

I LOVE it. It's one of my favorite names for a girl.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend.I feel quite the same way about Naomi. I kinda like it but can't see myself using it. I would love for someone else to use it though.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Naomi has always sounded rather harsh to my ears. The Spanish form, Noemi, on the other hand, sounds much softer to my ears.

Noemi is quite popular in my area -completely French-speaking, no Spanish at all, so don't know reason for popularity, except that it's a pretty name.
