Celebrity Baby Girls
I found these at http://www.celebrity-babies.com/, all daughters born recently to celebrities. *Ken Jennings (of Jeopardy fame) and his wife, Mindy, welcomed Caitlin Elizabeth Monday night. Big brother, Dylan, is 3. *Jessalyn Gilsig (Nip/Tuck) and her husband welcomed Penelope on 9/26. *Eyal Podell (Adrian on The Young & The Restless) and his wife welcomed first child Oren Lily on 10/11. Explanation behind her name: "Oren is actually a boy's Hebrew name. I wanted something that stared with an O because I wanted to honor my grandfather Odif..." *Kellie Martin (was Becca on Life Goes On years ago) and her husband, Keith Christian, welcomed their first child, Margaret "Maggie" Heather. Her mn is after Kellie's sister who died in 1998.
Comments: Ken Jennings is smart so why wouldn't he know or care that Caitlin and Elizabeth are both EXTREMELY overused names? Oy. I like Penelope, Lily is nice (but I could've come up with a better O name than Oren!), and Margaret "Maggie" Heather is sweet. :)

Oren is a boy name. I know a couple of them. I can't imagine it on a girl. Well, I can, but it's wrong. There are so many pretty girl names starting with O. (Well, not many, but pretty.)Margaret is great, on the other hand. My first pick for a nn wouldn't be Maggie, but it's sweet.

Caitlin Elizabeth -- This can only stimulate a yawn from me. And with Dylan as a brother, too ... How dull.Penelope -- I like this, though the potential of Penny is a bit off-putting to me. I like Parthenope that bit more.Oren Lily -- Oren is OK. The sound isn't that memorable ... a bit like Lauren without the "L". Lily is just overdone.Margaret "Maggie" Heather -- I find Margaret very harsh sounding, and Maggie very frumpy. Perhaps it reminds me of "saggy", "baggy" etc. Heather is OK ... still fairly overused here._____________________________________________________________________Elinor

Caitlin Elizabeth - and I quote, "Ken Jennings is smart so why wouldn't he know or care that Caitlin and Elizabeth are both EXTREMELY overused names?" I find this entertaining because 1) You're right and 2) To prove the point my friend's daughter is named Katelyn Elizabeth. Penelope - It's nms but I give props to her for not going with an obvious choice like Emma, or Caitlin.Oren Lily - I don't get their explanation. How do you go from wanting a name that starts with an O and end up with a male name bypassing perfectly fine names like Octavia, Ophelia, Opal, Odessa, Ottilie, you get my point. Even if the baby was a boy Oren is nms. Lily is nice.Margaret Heather nn Maggie - Margaret and Heather are two names that are nmsaa. However I do think they work nicely as a combo. And Maggie is easily my favorite of the Margaret nns.

Caitlin Elizabeth -- well, some people just don't care if it's overused. :/Penelope -- it's okay, I'm kind of impartial.Oren Lily -- I muchly prefer Oren for a boy, but it sounds and looks pretty enough with Lily behind it.Margaret "Maggie" Heather -- the mn is ok, but I don't especially like this. Margaret Heather "Meg" would have been wonderful.Camille J

I like Elizabeth, Penelope and Lily. Margaret "Maggie" is nice. On the same kind of subject, does anyone know what Tobey Maguire's daughters name is? I've been checking People everyday, but the report is never updated (that I've seen, anyway).Check Out Blinkyou.com for thousands of custom glitters and layouts

I read somewhere that they may not be releasing her name due to personal reasons, but I, personally, would really like to know her name :-)

Caitlin Elizabeth - Caitlin is cute...I like it, though I'd prefer the sp. Caitlyn/Caitland. I think it's a sweet name :-) I love Elizabeth, but I much prefer the sp. Elisabeth. The combo is nice.Dylan - love it!Penelope - dnmsaa...seems very dated to meOren Lily - Oren is dnmsaa. Lily is pretty, either on its own or as a NN. I would have chose Olivia as the O name.Margaret Heather "Maggie" - very sweet combination...I especially love Maggie! I would have used it all on its own, but the combo is pretty, and I especially like that they used the MN to honor her sister. That didn't surprise me at all.
