I like Dafna (Hebrew equiv to Daphne), but I cringe at my daughter going through life nicknamed "Daffy"! :)
In order of importance (or order of what I think is a good name meaning) I think the meanings are:
the plant laurel > laurel as symbol of merit > crown/merit indicating status/royalty.
So Dafna > Atarah > Malka.
The plant is a symbol in itself and carries the other meanings with it; the others are just abstractions, and I'd rather keep the whole story.
