Eve, Evelina, Evelyn, & Evangeline
I love the name Eve and would definitely consider using it for my daughter some day, but my cousin's daughter's name is Evie. Do you think it would better if I used the name Evangeline, Evelina, or Evelyn and called her Eve? Or do you think it would be okay to use the name Eve by itself? Thanks!**~**~**~**~**~**~**

Eve is great by itself. I do love Evelina and Evangeline though, but I would probably be more likely to use Eva as the nickname. ¡VIVA ESPAÑA!

Ilove the name Eve. I AGREE IT IS AN ALL TIME FAVORTIE OF MINE. IT'S MY #1 RIGHT NOW.My cousin's daughter's name is Evie. ISN'T THAT TERRIBLE. I HATE IT WHEN SOMEONE CLOSE TO YOU HAS USED A NAME. IT ALMOST MAKES IT FEEL AS THOUGH IT CAN'T BE USED.Do you think it would better if I used the name Evangeline, Evelina, or Evelyn and called her Eve? Or do you think it would be okay to use the name Eve by itself? WELL IN MY OPIONION EVIE AND EVE LOOK VERY SIMILAR BUT SOUND DIFFERENT. I THINK IT WOULD BE OKAY TO CALL HER EVE IF THAT IS THE NAME YOU REALLY LOVE, INSTEAD OF TRYING TO MASK YOUR LOVE FOR THE NAME BY USING IT AS A NICKNAME.GO FOR IT! Just a side note I love Eve best then Evangeline, Evelyn, Evelina. However another option for you is Genevieve (love this name)(P.S. - I only used caps to distinguish between your comments and my reponses)

I would probably just go with Eve if thats what you're always going to call her. Of the alternatives, Evangeline ismy favourite.

I like Eve the best.I'd think it'd be ok if you live in different cities. even if you don't it may not be that big a deal. I have a brother and a cousin named Michael, both live in the same city.Luxiana

I like Evie but only as a nn. I guess it depends on how close you are too your cousin--as friends and in physical distance--as to whether or not it would be confusing to have dds' with similar names. I live Eve and Evelyn best with Evie as a nn.

I think it depends on how close you are with your cousin, I'm really close to my cousins so I wouldn't use a close name because our children would probably also be quite close!I really like Evelina actually...**miss_smiley**--Brandon & Elise--

I think Eve is fine on it's own. If you're concerned about your cousin having a baby named Evie I don't see why it'd be better or worse to name your child Evangeline and call her Eve or to just name her Eve.

Yes, as desert rose said, I would also choose one of the longer names and call her Eve. I think it's nicer, because then her real name is special.I love Evelyn, and then comes Evelina. I don't care much for Evangeline.

I really like Evelina and Evelyn, so I would use one of them and call her Eve.
