Leif? What is your opinion?
How do you feel about the name Leif on a boy? Very important: how do you pronounce it? layf or leef?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I love it. When I see it, I think leef, but out loud I say layf. Funny how that works lol.

I don't care for it because it reminds me of Leif Garrett who's a bit of a walking train wreck (thank you, VH1 "Behind the Music"). He, and I, pronounce it layf. I don't object to the leef pronunciation though.

LOVE it!!
Out of 10, it gets a 10. On first sight, I'd say LEEF since that's how my 5th grade teacher said it was pronounced, but I *love* either way!

Leif is a bit of a GP for me. I pronounce it both ways. If I remember to I say layf because I know it's more correct. I still think leef at times because that's what I was taught. I like layf.

I love Leif. It is one of my favorite names. I only like it pronounced LAYF. I would probably only use it as a mn, though, because most people I know pronounce it LEEF or LIEF, both of which I dislike.
I like Leif very much pronounced leef. not so much as layf.

I like Leif, it's refreshing. The I pronounce it depends on where I'd see the name used. If it is in an English speaking country I'd say LEEF. If I would come across it here I'd say something in between LAYF and LIEF.
I'm not into it since it's very old fashioned in Denmark.
To pronounce it in Danish: That would be layf option.

You would pronounce it the same way (Layf) in Swedish and Norwegian as well.
I wouldn't care for this name though.

Thanks! Yeah, the database here says layf as well, but when we learned about Leif Eriksson in grade school, I remember everyone saying it "leaf." Silly, eh?
