Cory
It seems like I never hear this name anymore. IT's so cute...I wonder if it's dying out or maybe it will rejuvenate?
WDYTO it?

I do like it, but only as a nickname for a longer, more 'grown-up' Cor- name. I think that - if it's not just an affectionate form of address, but the complete name - it sounds fey/effete on a grown man, and childish/shallow on a grown woman. It stands in as a casual form of a name like Cornelius or Cordelia or Corinne or Corbin nicely, though.

I don't like it.
To me, its an old trailer, lower-class name. Its too cutesy, and I can't take any adult named Cory seriously.

See I don't think it's "old trailer, lower class". I can see that people would see it as sorta cutesy though.
You said that earlier about Brianna. I am sorta confused how these two get that title from you. What about them are lower class? I've known people with both of these names that were far from that type of person. That type of name for me is like:
DeeDee
Kayla
Darryl
Shawna
Jeb
Bud
Shane

I know.
Just because a person has this name, or wears this type of clothing, or speaks this way, it doesn't mean they fit the sterotype. ITs true.
But its a fact of life that you'll still be judged. There have been studies done proving this fact. Harvard did studies that proved people with names used more commonly in African-AMerican communties had a lesser chance of getting a job.
Its part of life.

That doesn't mean the name is lower class or "trailer trash".
That's true
And I will watch my wording for now on. I apologize.

I personally like it. I like it more for a boy, but it's cute ona girl too. I knew of a girl named Cory, but she spelled it Corrie. I thought it was cute & more feminine. I just started college in August, and there's a guy named Cory who sits next to me in Bio., but that's the first time I've heard the name in a while as well!
