Nope, nothing negative comes in mind. It's a lovely name.

I don't mind it but there are sooooo many here, so frankly I am kind of over it. It is nothing special to me at all. But my new nephew will be named Lachlan Robert so that makes me like it much more :)

The only problem is its growing trendyness, because of its Scottish roots, and Scottish / Irish / Welsh names are becoming extremely popular. Lachlan seems to be at the crest of this trend. I love the name and think it sounds really nice, however. My favorite combo is Lachlan Milo.

Nothing negative, just its popularity stakes if you are in Australia. It honestly seems every 3rd boy these days is called Lachlan, Jack, Thomas or Charlie...

Lachlan isn't a favorite of mine but I have no negative connotations with it and see no reason why someone else shouldn't use it.
