Mary and Kay
in reply to a message by Bear
I'm sorry. I missed the last sentence of your original post about Mary and Kay. In a sea of Brittneighs, Maddisyns and K8tlins, Mary and Kay are a breath of fresh air.
I know they were overly used in the past, but everyone is running away from names like these so fast that they are actually unique in this newest generation. If you just can't see yourself using Mary or Kay, how about a variant:
Maura / Moira / Maureen / Molly
Maren
Marie (nn Mimi?)
Mae
Marian / Marianne
Marisol (Mary + sun)
Miriam (nn Miri, Mimi or Mim?)
Mariska
Marina (nn Marnie?)
Mariah
Maria (nn Mia, Mitzi?)
Mia
Katrina
Catriona ("ca-TREE-uh-na" or "ca-TREE-na")
Catalina
Kathleen / Cathleen
Katherine (nn Kat, Kit, Kitty or Kay?)
Katrin
Kateri ("KAH-ter-ee")
Ekaterina (nn Katia / Katya)
Kaia ("KIE-uh")
I could see you with a little Mia Katherine or a Kaia Marie. :-)
