Grace
Hi, I was debating between Grace and Iris, but looks like Iris was voted out by the family. My mom's name is Kathryn Ann and her and my husband would like our baby girl named after her so what do you think? I still can't let go of Iris so here's the choices.

I have a strong dislike of Grace, but I'm probably in the minority here. I'll try to answer your question objectively anyway.
I think Grace Iris is a little too heavy on the "S" sounds. I like Grace Katherine, although I prefer the spelling Catherine. (I don't know how you feel about changing the spelling; it's essentially the same name, just in a different form.) Grace Ann is too brief for my liking, but Grace Annabel or Grace Annabeth would be nice, and you'd still have "Ann" in there to honor your mother.
Did your husband veto Iris too? If both of you like it, I think you should disregard what your family thinks. It's your baby to name, not theirs, and unless there is a logical reason for them to dislike it (like a mean old aunt named Iris who robbed banks and kicked puppies), their opinions shouldn't matter.

I love the name Grace! Very pretty :-)
Grace Iris - lovely names, although the flow seems a little off
Grace Kathryn - I love this combo...lovely!
Grace Ann - Ann is okay, but a little plain for me.
I think Grace Kathryn sounds the best. How about Grace Iris Ann or Grace Kathryn Iris? That makes the flow with Iris much better.

Sounds like you're between a rock and a hard space on this one! Well Grace Iris doesn't seem to flow very well so I'd go with one of the others. Between Kathryn and Ann I like Grace Kathryn better. Grace Anna or Grace Anastasia or Grace Ariana would be better than plain Grace Ann.
Or you could do two middle names, such as Grace Kathryn Iris sounds very pretty! Or Grace Kathryn Ann would be nice too! :)

First of all, I think it is VERy rude and presumptuous of your mother to tell you she wants you to name the baby after her. That's like asking to be invited somewhere, or asking to be toasted at a party. Not good.
However, if you do want to honor your mother, I'd say Grace Kathryn or Grace Ann would be best. Iris and Grace don't go well together, the two sounds make an unattractive hissing noise together.
You might vary the spelling of Kathryn or Ann too, and still be on your mother's good side.

I don't like any of those combos. Grace is soooo overdone at the moment, so I prefer it as a middle name if any. Kathryn Grace sounds the best, but I would prefer Catherine. Why not use Catherine Grace, Catherine can still honor your mom even if it isn't spelled the same way.
Honestly, I prefer Iris to Grace. And I personally don't think you should honor someone in your family unless you love the name, or I think you should use it as a middle name. Use a name you LOVE, and don't worry about pleasing your family.
*Edited to add: You can always use a variation of Ann to honor your mother. For example: Annabelle, Anneliese, Annette, Leeann, Liana, Roseanne, etc.
