Tia has a nice sound, but it means "aunt" in Spanish so I can't really get behind it. Now as a nick for names such as Christiana or Tatiana, it could work for me.

I know a girl who calls herself Tia, her full name is Tarmaysia (sounds like Tarm-Asia, most people think it is Tar-ma-see-ah) ( i think it was a made up one, but i think it is pretty)

I love the name Tia. I think it's really pretty. I think it's perfectly fine for a full name.

It's fine as a full name. I don't really like it though.Kristen~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I love it!!Oh, I *love* it as a full name, and it isn't bad as a nickname either. No, I didn't get that mixed up. I think Tia is everything I love in a girl's name -- cute, simple, feminine but not overly-so. I would definitely go for it!Camille J

Its a little to short for me I would prefer it as a nickname for something, it is fairly popular where I live
Could work at a pinch, as a nickname for Tatiana which I like or Sebastiana Christiana Hestia

I like it. I'm usually not fond of three letter -ia names (like Kia, Cia, Lia, Nia etc. I find most of them a little too plain), but Tia is different. It's short and simple, yet very elegant and beautiful. I think it would work as a full name.
