Quadruplets
There was a set of quadruplets born a few days ago at a local hospital. Their names are:Fernando (b)
Oswaldo (b)
Angel (b)
Xitlaly (g)WDYT of the names individually, and as a sib set? Personally, none of them are really my style, but I think they go well together. Xitlaly stands out to me. When I first heard it, I thought it was unusual, but it has grown on me. It means "princess" in the Aztec dialect. I would have preferred Xochitl, but I still think it's a nice name.

I love Nahuatl names, but most people have a really hard time with them. The other three I don't necessarily care for. Oswaldo might be cool with the nn Ozzy. And I like Angel, but I prefer it for a girl.

Fernando isn't bad, same with Angel. I'm not crazy about Oswaldo but it has some cool nn options (Oz, Waldo, Wally). Oswaldo and Fernando are a little too similar together, esp. compared with the other boy, Angel. Angelo, maybe? :b Xitlaly--is this a legit name? I remember seeing it somewhere but I don't know anything about it, incl. pronunciation. The first part looks like "zit" though, and that won't go over well in jr. high and high school. :-/

Molly mentioned the spelling of Citlali. So, I'm guessing that's where they got it.Oswlado & Fernando are a bit close, compared to Angel, but it really is just Angel. Oswaldo & Fernando are actually identical twins.

I really like this set! I'm a big fan of Angel and Citlali. I can definitely deal with the spelling change to Xitlaly, though. And I ADORE the name Fernanda--Fernando doesn't quite do it for me, but I still like it. And Oswaldo would be adorable with the nickname Waldo or Ozzie (my dog's name is Osworth nn Ozzie, so I'm partial, lol).

Citlali is a nice spelling too. Interesting since that means "star" and her parents are saying "princess" (of course with the different spelling). Hmm...regardless, though, the name is pretty imo :-)

I think Angel stands out as much as Xitlaly because it's pretty common and Xitlaly is really unusual. But Fernando and Oswaldo aren't too crazy or normal. The only one that I actually like is Fernando. I think it's a pretty neat name. How do you prn. Xitlaly? I would say zit-lahl-ee.

Her parents are saying closer to "sis lahl ee"...with a softer "z" sound. The family is Spanish-speaking, so their pronounciation comes with more of a Spanish sound to it.
