Alexandra
What do you think of this name- is it too popular to use, even though it's such a great classic? My favorite nns are: Ali / Allie and Sasha. Wdyt of these? thanks.

I don't care about popularity and I think it's just gorgeous! :)
I prefer Alexia or Alexis :)

Its one of my favorite names and isnt that common where I live
I like this name very much. It kept high on my list when I tried to decide my daughter's name. And I like the NN Alix and Sasha.

I like it, but Alexander is my favourite boys name.
I love the name Alexandra, dislike nn's Allie and Sasha. My favorite nn's are Alex and Lexi, or no nn at all.

I really loathe Alex- names, but since you are not looking at Alex for a nn, I can be satisfied to see it on yet another child. I love Sasha as a nn on a girl. I prefer it as a full name on a boy, but it works on a girl as well. Ali or Allie are nice also, I usually think of Alison when I hear Ali, but it works for Alexandra.

I love it. It's one of the popular names that doesn't bother me. I'd prefer it without a nickname, but it's unlikely that would ever work, lol!

I love it, but I can't use it because I want to use Alexander. :-)

It is one of my favourite names and I will probably use it one day, although I toss up on the popularity too. I don't want to use popular names for my kids, but Alexandra tempts me. If I don't use it as a fn it will be used as a mn.
I wouldn't want to use a mn, but as most things in my family get shortened, I would want to use the nn Sasha.

It's funny, because I dont' particularly LOVE Alexandra, nor do I love Alex, ally, etc. But i have a russian friend who is Alexandra nn Sasha, and I love it! I don't particularly love Sasha, by itself either, but for some reason i just like them together -- they click! Maybe I ust like names that branch off the original a little.
I love it.
But will probably use it as a mn as opposed to a first name. I don't really like any of the nns, Alexandra is such a pretty name that I wouldn't want to shorten it!
