Harper for a boy?
I like the name Harper. I'd thought of it for our girls name, but now we know we are having a boy. Is it too much of a girls name? Or do you think it can be used for boys too?

I love Harper as a boy's name. It's nice as a girl's name as well, but I much prefer it for a boy. Harper is one of my top three favorite boy's names. I love it!**~**~**~**~**~**~**

I think it's a surname that can be used on either gender, but it definitely better suits a boy, imo.

I personally dont see it as a fn at all. However, if I HAD to choose to name a male or female child this, it would certainly be a male!~~Kris~~

Harper is great for a boy, I love it for a boy and strongly dislike it on a girl.

I'd say neither, but it could work on a boy.

I prefer it on a boy, anyway

Nah, it could work for a boy.I slightly prefer it for a girl (thank-you, Ms. Lee!), but it's pretty darn unisex, IMHO. :o)

I think of Harper James Simon...Paul Simon's eldest son. It seems quite masculine to me, if only because I associate it with him.I think the name works equally well on either sex, and while I like it, I wouldn't use it.Array

Even though the name itself is not my style, I think that Harper would work for a boy as well.

My friend named her baby boy Harper a year ago. I don't really care for the name, but you can use it for a boy.
