Oedipus

Hmm, the incestuous connotations are a little strong for me.
Oedipus=terrible name
Great name for a pet. For a kid? Honestly, it's like naming a boy Incest-in-the-Family. Oedipus the King is recognizable to scholars, Sophocles enthusiasts, psychologists, anyone who knows anything about Freud, and anyone who pays attention to their culture.
You can get away with Antigone, Ismene, or even Jocasta (though I'd rather go with Lucasta, which is just as pretty and didn't sleep with her son), but Oedipus is a no-go.

I need the smell of summer--
I need its noises in my ears.
A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.

You can name a cat that...
... but not your SON.

Sorry, I have to say that I can't see naming babies after mentally disturbed literary characters. I think it would be a stigma his whole life.
Well, he wasn't really mentally disturbed, only after he found out he had married his mother and had two daughters with her. And that is when she killed herself and he blinded himself.
Much too Greek myth, and the connotations there are awful, not just "not great". The sound and look are nice, I'll grant it that.
I'd say siblings would be other mythology names (NOT Ismene, though, because in addition to being his daughter she was his half-sister... argh, it's so complicated, the whole myth.) My favorite Greek mythology names are, for girls, Andromache, Andromeda, Alcyone, Electra, Circe, Eurydice, Ourania and Merope (and I like Ismene, but it wouldn't work), and for boys, Hector, Cepheus, Daedalus and Icarus. Considerably less boy names, but I don't generally like many names ending in -us.

If one doesn't know what the "Oedipus Complex" is, it's actually a very nice name. But that's just the problem, cause many people do know what the "Oedipus Complex" is. So the poor kid would only get teased all the time. And you, as a mother, maybe even would be ask if your not kinda pedofile for giving that name.
So I would really strongly recomend not to use that name, not even as a middel name.
How about:
Icarus
Marcus
Marius
Ulysses
Apollo
Achilles
Adonis
Zephyr or Zephyros
Phoenix
Bram
Cephalus
Eros
Odin or Oden
Odysseus
Orion
Osiris
Owen
Oliver
Ammon
Tane
