Sebastiana
I saw Sebastiana in a name book today and rather liked the sound of it. I have loved Sebastian for a long time and wished there was a pretty feminine form. I only had heard of Sebastienne or Sebastiane and didn't really like it but I think Sebastiana is really pretty.
So WDYT of Sebastiana, and what middle names would you pair with it?

Sebastian and Sebastiana are both nms.
I like it. I think it sounds best with other Italian/Latin names.

I like it rather better than Sebastian for a boy. It's pretty. What I don't like is, it's too long. Five syllables! And no nice, natural short forms.

I have to admit I actually like it... *blushes*
I don't think I would use it, as I have quite a long list of girls names I like anyway, but I definantly like it.

I love Sebastian for boys but
Sebastiana has too many syllables. I much prefer Tatiana, Sabina or Sabrina for instance. Or maybe Christiana.
- She said he made a racial slur!
- Racial? She is Swedish!
- Maybe he called her Meatball.

well, despite what others are saying, I think it's a really beautiful names. Sebastian is a lovely name for boys and this is a great variant for a girl. I would be more inclined to use it as a mn as in Eleanor Sebastiana, but it would make a pretty first name as well. Hmmm combos:
Sebastiana Eve
Sebastiana Cecile
Sebastiana Claire
Sebastiana Noelle
Sebastiana June
Sebastiana Rose
Sebastiana Faye
Sebastiana Lark
Sebastiana Wren
Sebastiana Pearl
Sebastiana Ruth
Sebastiana Alice
Sebastiana Louise
Sebastiana Jane

Yuck, nmsaa...
I don't like Sebastiana at all. To me it just looks like Sebastian with an 'a' slapped on the end instead of a feminine variant.
Here are some mn suggestions, anyway:
Sebastiana Rose
Sebastiana Philomene
Sebastiana Priya
Sebastiana Elora
Sebastiana Mairi
Sorry if I've been a bit of a pain.

It's too long (coming from someone who loves Andromache, Cornelia, and Valentina, to name a few) but I actually like it much better than Sebastian, though that isn't hard, as I hate Sebastian. I'd say "meh" or "looks like they're trying too hard" if I saw it, rather than "eew, I hate it." Not really nice, but there you have it. Sebastiane and Sebastienne are really nms. The problem with all of them is that they've got the slick of Sebastian and then the frills of -ana or -enne, and that just doesn't fit, the frills hang off the name.
And now, after maybe confusing you with that description, I'd say I'd pair really short names with Sebastiana, no more than one syllable- Sebastiana Ruth, Sebastiana Rae, Sebastiana Rose (though this sounds... odd. I don't think they fit.) They all start with R and that's a total coincidence. Hm.
Noa

Yuck. Sorry.

Initially Sebastiana seems like a bit too much but I could see it growing on me. Sebastienne is nice as well.
Since Sebastiana is kinda frilly imo I think it would work better with a more "down to earth" mn: Lily, Ruth, May, Christine, Gail, Blythe, Bliss, Carol.

I don't like it, sorry. I don't detest it, but it's a real mouthful-5 syllables.
