My Mum is Chinese
in reply to a message by Idony
but I don't have a Chinese name. Well I do have a Chinese nickname, Gow Si, which means dog sh*t. My Mum bestowed that one on me when I complained to her that I didn't have a Chinese name.
My favourite out of yours is definitely Li Mei. It's lovely and I could see a little half-Chinese half-English (correct me if wrong) girl with that as her Chinese name.
Favourite Names:
Boy: Christian Adelmar Girl: Freya Amaryllis

That is pretty funny about your nn!
I like Li Mei too because it is easy to pronounce in English and it is sweet. My Dad is from Ireland and my Mum is Ukrainian, so I'm not English by heritage even though I certainly feel English. You like Ukrainian names right? My Mum is called Elena Kateryna, normally people have a mn derived from their father's fn, but my grandparents thought it was more "western" to give her two feminine names because they knew she was going to grow up in England.
