Emma & Katherine (again but with different mn's)
3 options are below:
-Emma Katherine Peck (nn Emma Kate)
-Katherine Laurel Peck (nn Kate)
-Katherine Grace Peck (nn Kate)Notes:
-Emma honors a great grandma. Big issue is whether Emma Peck has obvious teasing potential, as well as end up in a sea of Emmas...maybe not so special.
-Katherine Laurel - she'd have my initials - Krista Leigh. Laurel is a friend and mentor, and it gives it that airy fairy feel I am going for.
-Grace is the meaning of Hanna, the name of the tropical storm that crashed our wedding 4 years ago.

I love Katherine Laurel, especially since it's after someone and she has your initials. I don't like Grace because of the way it sounds with the last name. If you say Katherine Grace Peck, I just don't think it sounds right. Katherine Laurel Peck is great. Emma is alright and I really don't think there's much teasing potential there - when I was in elementary school [about 6, 8 years ago?] no one really got teased because of their names, except I can remember a girl with the last name of Whitehead and a kid with the last name Register ..

I know how you feel about Emma. I really like it too, but it's just sooo popular! The combo sounds nice though. If I had to chose, it would be Katherine Laurel, nice meaning and sounds nice. I donÄt like Katherine Grace so much for some reason.

Emma is way too popular. Katherine Grace is rather ordinary.Katherine Laurel or Katherine Emma would be possible. But my vote: Laurel Katherine Peck (your intials backwards)

Katherine Grace Peck, nn Kate has the best overall flow and is the most "user-friendly." I'd love to vote for Emma Peck, but the repeated short "e" sounds bug me. Katherine Emma Peck, nn Kate, would be my favorite.

Katherine Laurel PeckEmma and Grace are just toooo common, especially Grace as a mn.
Have you thought about just using Katherine Emma? That way she won't be one of a bazillion other Emma's, and you'll still be able to honour the great-grandmom.Maybe you could use Emma-Kate as a double fn or mn...Good luck! :]

I like Emma Katherine and Katherine Laurel best. I don't see anything really wrong with the name Emma Katherine Peck, I don't think it will cause problems, you're probably the only one who notices:) As pretty as Emma is however, you're right, it was the second most popular name in the US this year. She will be one of many, many Emmas. I really like the flow of Katherine Laurel, I love the sound of Laurel. Katherine Grace seems slightly boring to me. Nice names!
