Sodero
I know a lot of people here dislike the use of last names as first names, but I personally like a lot of them. I found a last name that I think would be really good for a guy: Sodero (soh-DARE-oh). What do you think?

Sodero is pretty neat, actually! I would like it better if it had some personal meaning to you other than that you like the sound, though.

Warning: rantI like a lot of surnames too. I think Kinsella would make a very pretty girl's name. But I wouldn't ever use it because I have no Kinsellas in my family. Now, my mother's mn is Murphy. That might make a funky fn for a boy. Plus, it would warm my family's collective hearts. See the difference? Traditionally, the whole point of using a surnames as a fn is to pass down heritage. When people start opening up the telephone book and using it as an a la carte menu, the practice loses its beauty and meaning. It becomes tacky. Like someone buying a book because it looks nice on a shelf, but never reading it. It's just shallow.Sorry to go on and on. This is just a pet peeve of mine.Sodero would be a great fn, if it's from your family tree.

I agree, except ...... I don't think Sodero would be great even if it were in someone's family tree. It starts with "sod" :-/_____________________________________________________________________Elinor

Fully agreed.

Sodero means "soda delivery man" in Spanish. I wouldn't call a child that unless I was certain he would never run into a Spanish speaking person in his life :)

I don't like it. I first thought of The Island of Sodor where Thomas the Train lives. :p
