undiscovered?
I've found myself really liking these girls' names lately. They don't seem to be very popular, but I'm wondering if that's because they're mostly undiscovered or because people just plain don't like them. All opinions welcomed!Moira
Jorien
Neimi (NEE-mee)
Viola
KlarisseThanks!

Viola and Moira are definately discovered by me. Viola is a relative from way back and Moira is just a name I like.

Viola is the only one that I really like, the others I don't like at all.

I know a baby who was born in March named Moira (she was named after her grandmother) and I also know a preschool aged girl by this name, so it's not completely unheard of. I don't think I've ever met anyone with any of the other names. Viola might catch on at some point since Violet is coming back. Jorien and Neimi seem a little too "foreign" to me to catch on in the US. Klarisse sounds dated to me but perhaps someone will discover it and it will catch on..Catherine Ann Genevieve.

Viola is nice.

I love Moira!! Pronounced either Maura or Moy-ra. Beautiful!

Moira is beautiful and Celtic
Jorien could grow on me
Neimee: Where does this name come from? Also, at first look at would pronounce it as "ney-mee" or as "nie-mee".
Viola: A lovely flower name.
Klarisse: I don't like this spelling. It looks French, therefore Clarisse would be the natural way to spell it. I like Clarisse and Clarissa."You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams."

Moira~ I go back and forth on it. Sometimes I think it's really nice, and other times, I really dislike it. It's a teeter-totter thing with Moira and Maura on either end--when I like one, I dislike the other.
Jorien~ Not all that attractive to my ears, and I really dislike names that end in -ien.
Neimi~ I don't like it (the pronunciation's ambiguous--I'd say it "NAY-mee" on first glance), but I do think Naima is pretty. Unfortunately, I find it a bit unusable thanks to Naima-the-dumb-chick who won America's Next Top Model two seasons ago, but I do love the John Coltrane tune of the same name.
Viola~ I really like it, but that's a recent development that can be easily traced to my current favourite thing ever. ;) I think it's very pretty, but I think it's going to grow in popularity rather soon.
Klarisse~ Clarisse is one of my favourites, but I think Klarisse looks really unfortunate.Array

I love Moira and Viola. I agree that both of them are terribly underappreciated for such lovely names.

I don't like Jorien or Neimi. The sounds aren't appealing to me. I do like Moira, Viola, and Klarisse (prefer Clarisse or Clarice), though.

I know a girl named Moira, and for some reason, I've always hated it.

I like Moira a lot, but somehow I prefer the spelling Maire, even though of course it's more confusing for people unfamiliar with the name. :-) I also like Viola.

Moira - I've seen this enough on the boards to think it will take off. Jorien - I don't really like it, because it looks made up to me.Neimi- I like this, but it's fairly similiar to other popular names. But it won't take off.Viola - NMS, but okay.Klarisse - too German. Clarisse, however, isn't of a popular sound though.

A girl at my church is named Jorien, and yes, she pronouces it JOR-ee-inn. I have no idea what it means, because this site doesn't have it, or anything I would expect it to be derived from. I haven't gotten around to checking out the other less reliable sites yet.

I can't find it listed in any name banks. I did google it and found that it is used in The Netherlands almost exclusively, from what I could see.Britney Tamber

LOVING Moira. Jorien is interesting. I think I like it. Neimi is nms. Viola has no appeal for me. Klarisse sounds sort of like an old lady. I prefer Karissa or Klarissa which is similar.
