Poppy or Pippa.
This is for a nineteenth century character, and I can't decide which to use...Of the two, which do you prefer?

I'd go with Philippa, Pippa for short.

Much prefer Poppy. Don't like Pippa at all and I think Poppy fits better anyway.

Pippa, short for Philippa, I like much better. Poppy is too cute and doesn't sound 'old fashioned' enough to me. - chazda

Poppy. Pippa's cute but less substantial than Poppy. And flower names were extremely popular during that time, too, but Poppy was a less usual choice (just as it is today).Miranda
