Josephine
I've always kind of put Josephine off to the side, and I'm not really sure why, but now I think it's beautiful. Plus, Josie is a really adorable nn. Josephina and Josefina are beautiful as well, but right now I'm leaning towards Josephine. Wdyt? I like the combo Josephine Elizabeth, but it's kind of a mouthful, and the only other one I can come up with right now is Josephina Grace, but I'd rather use Josephine. If you can think of any others, please let me know. Thanks a lot!I don't see no shine,

I love the name Josephine! I'd probably only ever use it as a MN to honor my uncle, but it is lovely. Josephina/Josefina aren't really my style, though. Josephine Elizabeth is very nice, although it is long, and I much prefer the sp. Elisabeth, anyway. Some MN suggestions:Josephine Grace
Josephine Rose
Josephine Kate
Josephine Lily
Josephine Celeste
Josephine Monica
Josephine Abby

I really like Josephine. I'd potentially use it someday to honor family members (my grandfather was Joseph, my older brother's middle name is Joseph, and my sister is Mary Jo with the "Jo" taken from Joseph). Josie is really cute. Josefina/Josephina are all right, but I prefer Josephine, I think.-------

I love Josephine, it was probably my first real favourite name (back when I was 10/11), and it hasn't been out of my top 5 since. At the moment it's number 2. I'm almost sure I'd use it (the only thing that would stop me would be if the father didn't like it.)I like Josephine Elizabeth, the length never puts me off.JosephinE Grace was an old combo of mine.At the moment my 'Josephine' combo is Josephine Astrid. I've also had/considered:
Josephine Maria
Josephine Marie
Josephine Carys
Josephine Gaia (GIE-ah)
Josephine Cara (KAH-rah)
Josephine Dora
Josephine Cora
Josephine Margaret
Josephine Mary (my first combo, because it was the full name of Jo Bettany/Maynard in The Chalet School books)
Josephine Flora
Josephine Eva
Josephine Maia (MIE-ah)
Josephine Lilias
Josephine Violet
Josephine Beatrice

I think Josephine is pretty, but I prefer it as a middle name. Josie is ugly, imo. Josephine Grace would be really nice.

I love Josephine its been a favorite of mine for a while now though most of my combo's have it as a middle name as itpairs up very well with my favorite for example Sophia Josephine, Felicity Josephine,
Josephine Elizabeth is on my list too though I prefer the spelling Elisabeth, it is long but its not as if your child would go around being called Josephine Elizabeth she will be just Josephine or Josiemy favorite combo's with it as a first name are
Josephine Alice
Josephine Amelia
Josephine Claire
Josephine Kerenza
Josephine Mary
Josephine Marie
Josephine Lily
Josephine Ruby
Josephine Rose
Josephine Sophia

I like Josephine because of the strong-willed character of Little Women and because it is sort of my mothers middle name. Actually, her middle name is just Jo, but if I were to use it as a tribute name I think I would lengthen it.

I prefer Josephine over Josefina and Josephina. My grandmother's name is Josie Ellia, so I'm partial to Josie. How about Josephine Claire, Josephine Ruth, Josephine Pearl, or Josephine Ellia / Elea?

I ♥ JosephineI just really, really, really hope it doesn't become ridiculously popular like Isabelle and Charlotte, though I am expecting it to.Regardless, it's a great name and Josie is a cute nn. My great-great-aunt was named Sephie (full name) but I've always liked it as a nn for Josephine, too. Then, there's Joey if she's a tomboy... Fina for Josefina... and Fifi, Jojo, Posy / Posie... Josephine is VERY versatile.Josefina is a great choice, as well.I would never use Josephine Grace... Grace is such a shallow/filler mn and super overused right now. Ditto for Rose, Emma, Kate, and Lily. For combos, WDYT of..."Elizabeth" combos:
Josephine Eliza
Josephine Lisette, Josephine Lysette
Josephine Ilsa
Josephine Beth (too Little Women, maybe?)
Josephine Lisbet, Josephine LisbethOthers:
Josephine Alice
Josephine Frances
Josephine Pearl

I love both Josephine and Josepha (joh-SEE-fuh or joh-SEH-fuh--say it a couple of times, it takes a bit to grow on you ;). Josefina's fine for someone else's kid. Josephina's too many syllables for my tastes. The problem I have with Josephine Elizabeth is that Elizabeth is not all that exciting. Same with Grace--there's a yawner of a middle name. Some ideas:Josephine Rosa
Josephine Sparrow
Josephine Lilith
Josephine Audrey
Josephine Brooke
Josephine Carmen
Josephine Candace
Josephine Alice
Josephine Blanche
Josephine Cecily
Josephine Cecile
Josephine Charlotte

I really wish people wouldn't use Elizabeth as a filler MN. I'm using it as a MN to honour my grandmother. It's so meaningful to me, but everyone turns up their nose at it because it's so common. It makes me sad. =(

I know! Elizabeth is my middle name; it was after my grandmother. Her name was actually Kathryn Elizabeth but went by Betty. So, in my case, it's definitely not a filler middle name. I hate meeting people who are like "OMG my middle name is Elizabeth too!" Cool, you weren't named after anyone, you're not special, get over it. lol, I'm just kidding, I'm mean, I know. :)I don't see no shine,

Haha, no, you're not mean - I feel that way too, a lot of the time! It's just such a shame. I wish some names would just be left for families, heh. Elizabeth is also my middle name, haha. But I was named for someone, obviously, I promise! ;)

Josephine is a timeless name, not exactly my style, but it will age well, and it's a classic. I think Josephine Elizabeth is beautiful!

I like the name Josephine and Grace is my middle name... so Josephine Grace would work good. Other good combinations with Josephine might beJosephine Elise (Similar to Elizabteth but shorther)
and i'll think of some othersJosefina Maria (Which dosen't sound that great, but it's my grandmothers name)
I think Josephine sounds nicer than Josefina but the -FINA spelling looks prettier.I AM A PROUD MOMMY!Alyx-Andrea Madison and Lyndsay Kylie

I love Josephine Elizabeth! Josephine is my great-grandmother's name, and Elizabeth is my grandmother's (her daughter) middle name which she goes by instead of her first. I don't know that I'd put them together, but they are both beautiful names.

Thanks, Josephine Elizabeth is very beautiful, but I'm just concerned that it's pretty long and wordy.I don't see no shine,

Yes, I see that as well. Perhaps a shorter variant of Elizabeth?
