Maeniel - I'd pronounce it MAY-nee-el. I don't like it, it looks and sounds like it's part of the random-combination-of-prettyish-sounds-and-letters trend for girls, like Braynella, Shailayna, Kaeleena ad nauseum. Which is a pity, as it seems to be a name that has meaning for you, coming from a favourite book.
Kerenza - a new favourite of mine too, though I prefer the spelling Kerensa. I'm not usually a fan of 'K' names but there is something stunning about Kerenza/Kerensa.
