I like Thea and Dora, also Dory/Dori or even Teddi. :b I like both Theodora and Dorothea (and Dorothy) pretty much equally, but if I had to pick - Theodora.

Theodora is a really beautiful, romantic name.I find it so much more appealing than Dorothea.Thea and Dora are cute nn s.Adora and Thora would be other nn options.

I love them all. I know a Theodora who goes by Dora. The nn Thea would be equally lovely. Dorothea is another winner. Of the two I slightly prefer Theodora to Dorothea, but it's a close call.

I like both. Theodora is pretty, but Dorothea is more of a timeless classic in my eyes. I like Thea as a nickname, but Dora is nms.I'd probably pick Dorothea, honestly.

Love it. It's utterly gorgoeus, sophisticated, and very strong. One of my favourite girl names at the moment, actually. Both Thea and Dora are lovely nicknames, but I personally would favour Thea.Dorothea is also extremely beautiful and very elegant, and as far as I'm concerned, it's also much better than the more common variant of the name, Dorothy.I love both Theodora and Dorothea equally. Couldn't decide between them.

I love it. Thea sounds a bit harsh to me - I prefer Dora.Dorothea is okay, but I like Dorothy even more.

I like the look and sound of Theodora better than Dorothea. OTOH, I dislike Dora but like the fact that "Thea" is so easily visible derived from Dorothea. Teodora and Dorotea are nice too but perhaps a little too much with our Scottish surname. Tea is really pretty.

I love it pron. TAY-oh-dor-ah. Prn THEE-oh-dor-ah is nice, too, but not my favorite. I think it's beautiful, and with the nn possibilities, could easily be considered modern rather than stodgy. I like Thea; Dora's nice too, and I've even seen a feminine Ted/dy. I can't use it, though, because my last name is a version of Theodore and it would be redundant, though not obvious. I dislike Dorothea."To love another person is to see the face of God." ~Victor Hugo

When comparing Theodora to Dorothea, I think the former is much prettier and more... timeless than antique (Dorothea would instantly bring to mind Dorothy, which because of the movie, has an old fashioned ring to it that's, in my opinion, just isn't ready for modern times. Though I do know one girl my age -20- who is named Dorothy. She hates it though and prefers to go by her mn - Lindsay).
And then when it comes to Theodora, which is just gorgeous imo, I like Theodosia (theo-dozsh-ah) even better.

I love the name Theodora. I prefer Theo as a nickname, though - the "o" just makes it seem jauntier.Dorothea is also lovely; I'd be more likely to use Thea as a nick name here (or Dory, which is also cute).

My grandma name is Dorthy, and my Aunt had the same name. It is allright. I wouldn't name my daughter that though.
