Olivia...wdyt?

Coming from someone who has a VERY common name (Katie) and married to someone with an even more common name (Chris) I wouldn't use it. She is going to run into SO many Olivias. Just go to the Social Security site and see how many were born in your state alone! I have a sister in law named Olivia (husband side) and then my sister in law (my side) just named her baby Olivia. Too common.
I HATE that it's so popular because I LOVE the name! I am still considering using it, though by the time I have children it may be at the end of its reign and no one wants to be Baby Britney born in 1999, right? The idea of my child being called Olivia N. is the only thing that is stopping me from using this name! Of course, there's always Liv, Livi and my favorite: LiviJane as a nn for Olivia Jane!

WEll, It is an o.k. name. I like other names better, and others worse.
I love it. But popularity is making me question it, I still don't really care, but it is in the back of my mind.

I think it is very pretty and delicate, but I would never use it due to the popularity. That just ruins it for me. I think I prefer Olive just because it charming, classic, old-fashioned and under-used.
I really like it, though the current trendiness does bug me. It seems like one of those names, like Ava or Isabella, that was pretty unpopular until recently, and now people who considered it too old and musty 10 years ago now love it. I also like the similar Olive and Olivie, and I also like the Estonian version Oliivia.

I love it, I think it's so pretty. It makes a nice mn also. I don't care if it's popular - it's popular for a reason, because it's a lovely name. =]
Olivia has a pretty sound, that's for certain. It's too popular for me but I don't mind hearing it on another child. For some reason, when I think of Olivia combos I always come back to Olivia Claire and Olivia Margaret.
BTW, I like your top 5 girl names. Corinne is the standout there. The boy names I like are Sean, Joel and Jack. Joel also stands out to me.

I do happen to like it, but for some reason I prefer Olive. I know most people hate Olive and much prefer Olivia, but I like Olive slightly more.

Should I speak of this
You are a mirage in the distance
That defies the heat of the desert
