Message: "Dora" - Behind the Name

Let's stay in the gruesome (see my post about dead relatives lol). Does the name Dora make you think of the concentration camp? A friend pointed it to me a few days ago, and well... I love that name but it's an awful association to have!

Dora makes me think of that darn Dora the Explorer. My 5 yr old sister loves that show, and it gets on my last nerve!! lol. I've never heard of a concentration camp called Dora.

I guess I don't get the concentration camp reference. So, no, it doesn't. It does make me think of Dora the Explorer, but I can get over that. I like the name Dora.

I never heard of a concentration camp by the name of Dora. It makes me think of my mommy, and I would definitely use it. :)

No, it doesn't, maybe I'm missing something? It makes me think more of a door. I kind of like the name Dora.

as you read my title i obviously don;t.
Dora is quite a nice name, better than Theodora.
