Which nickname?
Well, due to crossed baby ankles, I still don't know for sure what baby is... I'm thinking girl, though. My question is...Which nickname do you like best for Rosemary? Romy or Rosie/Rosy/Rosi?

I like Rosie or Rosy. I don't like the sound of Romy much - it's almost a word name - roamy! Lol. I'd use Rosie or Rosy when she's little. I know that a lot of girls go through a stage of wanting to have a fashionable nickname in their early teens - mine was Chrisi which thank goodness never stuck! - so she could use Romy then.

I'd say Romy! Rosie is cute, but i think she'll grow out of it, if you kwim? it sounds too 'little' for a 30 yo...Romy doesn't...:D

I think Rosie is so sweet and fresh sounding. I'd love to have a little girl called Rosie :). I'm rooting for a girl, too, since I love Rosemary Elisabeth and am indifferent to Adam Isaac :). But whatever it is will be absolutely precious!

I think Rosie is adorable!! And when she is hear you will gradually call her by a nickname even if you dont realise it, my family has odd nicknames:My cousin Isabella Grace is "Belly"
My cousin Mikaela is "Moo Moo"
My cousin Eliza is "Roundy"
I am either "Gecka, Boo Boo, or skin and bones"
My brother Christian is "Chitchin which was just shortend to Chin"
My boyfriend is "Pee"Mine came mostly from Eliza cause she couldnt say Becka it was Gecka then Boo boo, and my grandmother calls me skin and bones.Isabella's came from calling her Bella and since she loves food it just developed.Christians was because of Eliza not being able to say his name so it came out like ChiChin or Chitchin.Isabella cant say Pierre so she says Pee instead!Eliza's came because my grandfather said she was more Round than Eliza lol!! (She is now 11!)

Romy is the most interesting and fresh-sounding to me, though I'd personally spell it Romie if I was called that. Rosie is kind of hackneyed and plain to my ears. - chazda

I am a fan of Rose/Rosie, although Romy does have a bit of an edge to it. I think you should just let the nn evolve naturally, whatever you feel comfortable using with the child use that.My dad's nn from his parent was Umpty, as his older sister could say David as a child

LOL, my poor cousin was and has been Teen for all of her 10 years... her sister Kim couldn't pronounce it when she was born. Maybe something interesting like that will come up.
