Peter
My father's name is Frederick Peter, and my grandfather's name is Frederick George (he was 100% German). My dad's older brother, Daniel (Dan or Danny), was supposed to be Frederick, but my grandma absolutely despised it. So, my grandma decided on Daniel George for my uncle. But, when my dad was born, he got the short end of the stick (not to mention, my daddy is rather short compared to the rest of the men in his family), and my grandpa insisted on Frederick his time around. His middle name, Peter, came from a crush that my grandma had when she was younger (which is kind of creepy, but maybe revenge against my grandfather?). My dad is called Rick or Ricky anyway, which he doesn't hate, but he always says that he would have definitely prefered having Peter as a first name.
So, I think I could definitely honor my dad if I used Peter as a first name if I ever have a son. I personally don't see what's so bad about Frederick, but my dad actually told me that if I ever named my son Frederick he'd be pissed. I've always liked Peter anyway, as Peter Pan and Peter Rabbit were always my favorites as a kid, and a few years ago Finding Neverland melted my heart. Wdyt of Peter Frederick, Peter George, Peter John, or Peter Anthony? Any other suggestions? Thanks a lot! :)

I like Peter if you don't call him Pete. :-)
Peter Frederick - sounds nice, but I'd go with a different mn because it's your dad's reversed.
Peter George - too old-fashioned.
Peter John - OK, but doesn't flow the best.
Peter Anthony - I think this is my favorite as it flows nicely.
How about . . .
Peter Daniel
Peter Richard
Peter Jermaine (form of German)
Peter Hudson (form of Rick)
Peter Samuel
Peter Theodore
Peter Alan
Peter Charles
Peter Elliott
Peter Jonathan
Do you like any of them?
Loving Theodore and Chloe!

I don't like Frederick either. It's my dad's mn and he told my mom the same thing when they had my brothers. I'm not a big fan of Peter either, but it's fine on someone elses child. I like Peter Anthony the best.

I love that name, it's adorable on a baby boy and it's a strong, manly name throughout life. My cousin's neighbor adopted a baby, he's part native american, and they named him Peter Gerald. They were also thinking of Peter Jared. I think Peter Gerald is best, as well as Peter Frederick and Peter Anthony. I don't think Peter John or Peter George, only because they're short and since Peter is as well, I would use something with maybe 2-4 syllables.
